Good News-Bad News:
  • Carrie Ankrom announced that MACC has registered its 600th member.
  • Carrie also reminded the club of MACC’s keynote speaker for the annual dinner – OSU Head Football Coach Ryan Day. Members can reserve their tickets now; on sale to the general public 1/15/2020.
  • Alice Chapman let us know that her husband is doing “okay” under the circumstances. They were happy to have family home for the Christmas holiday and thank everyone for their continued support.
  • Jennifer Sturgill was happy that 6 of her 7 kids will be home for Christmas; however, they were wishing for warmer weather.
  • Suzy Zumwalde thanked the club for their support of the WMOA Christmas Zoo – Interact was able to donate 100+ animals to the zoo.
  • Bill Peoples celebrated his 70th birthday on 12/26.
  • Vicky Wood shared that WSCC received a donation that provide six scholarships for the spring semester.
  • Peter Prigge announced that his winning (daily prize) Split-the-Pot ticket last week was the FIRST ticket sold that day.
  • Larry Hiser announced that MC Men’s Basketball is currently #6 with an 8-0 record this season for Coach VanderWal.
  • Shawn Taylor announced that Warren Boys’ Basketball beat John Glenn last week.
Sergeant at Arms- Davis Powers:
 
Sergeant-at-Arms Handbook by Bob Kirkbride, 1st Edition – “Fine everyone, fine often”. But there would be no blanket fines from Powers today – Merry Christmas!
 
Peter Prigge’s cell phone rang during the last meeting, which is normally a $2 fine, but since it was Shawn calling, it would only be $1 today.
 
A game of “Who is this Rotarian?” revealed that Jennifer Sturgill’s favorite color is blue and her vacation spot is Maui, HI.
 
Program:
 
The Friendship VII Sweet Adelines is a quartet-style group that meets on Monday nights in New Concord, OH.  They performed Silent Night, Marshmallow World, Jingle Bells, Go Tell It On the Mountain, and several other classic and contemporary Christmas selections, some with audience participation.
