Sergeant at Arms:
Past President Laura just can't give up the spotlight- She presented the Sergeant at Arms this week.
  • MACC had their golf outing on Monday and had decent representation from Rotary.
  • Terry Rataiczak is on the 3-member Golf Committee and didn’t even bother to show up. Joe Marra was ordered to cover his fine.
  • Carrie Ankrom, the club called and the water you ordered is still sitting in an office over there. But you only lost a dozen players to dehydration. Fine Carrie.
  • Tina Adams swung-on what should have been a beautiful 150-yard drive…except she whiffed it. Right over the top. Tina was fined for playing baseball and not golf.
  • Wally golfed but his teammates would beg to differ.
  • Dave Vandenberg stayed the night last Friday in the Shelter Box tent in downtown Marietta. He was seen at a local bar shortly after 10pm having a beer. Then someone reported to the authorities a very tall homeless man standing outside his tent doing his business. Dave was fined a dollar.
  • Laura attended the Inland waterways Festival last weekend. Dick Murdock was admiring the 200-gallon Ohio River tank with a fishing pole in his hand. Dick was fined a dollar. Dick was not in attendance.
  • McKenzie Allen wore her rotary pen but no one at her table did. Attendees at her table were fined a dollar.
  • Laura challenged all Rotarians in attendance to figure out how many Rotarians were recruited for membership by each person at their table. If they did not collectively have 4, they were fined a dollar.
Program:
Janet Chase, MOV'n Dragons

The MOV'n Dragons are the Mid-Ohio Valley's dragon boat team. Comprised of cancer thrivers and supporters. The team encourages healthy healing and lifestyles through goal-oriented exercise, good nutrition, education and fellowship. They strive to raise awareness of the issues surrounding breast cancer, including early detection, and to serve as models of courage, determination and teamwork.

Through the Felicia Buell Thrivers Fund, they help cancer thrivers remain active and engaged in the community.

They are offering a FREE community excursion on August 24th at Marietta High School Boathouse, 9-11AM. Check it out!

Split the Pot:
